Tamil Civilians Seek Protection With Army

6 Tamil civilians including 4 females sought protecting with security forces after fleeing from the non-liberated Wanni area on Sunday (April 6).

The people have arrived at Pudukudiiruppu, a coastal suburb in Mannar under security forces control and were later directed to an IDP center in general area Pariharakandal under the safe custody of the Mannar Police.

3 LTTE Killed

3 LTTE terrorists were reported killed sniped by SLA troops deployed ahead of LTTE forward defences in the embattled Wanni theatre on Monday (April 7).

According to military reports received, 2 terrorists including a female cadre were killed by SLA snipers in general area Karampaikulama between 1.20 - 1.30 p.m. Earlier, another terrorist was reported killed sniped in general area Thirukethiswaram at around 10a.m.
